T his 4 day course (which is a prerequisite for more advanced study) is mainly practical. The material is based on Dr. Leon Hammer’s extensi ve elaboration of the work of his teacher Dr. John H. F. Shen. The emp hasis is on learning to accurately palpate the 6 principal and 22 comp lementary pulse positions. The Qualities found on the pulse are identi fied and described as well as the three Depths, Rhythm, Rate and an ov erview of Interpretation.\n\nWhy the Pulse? According to Dr. Le on Hammer: \"The art of Chinese Pulse Diagnosis has fallen into neglec t. This is no longer practical in our time.
