The Acupuncture Channel

for acupuncture students, alumni, faculty & friends — sponsored by AIMC Berkeley

greetings!
after much deliberation and many years of marination, i will at long
last make it happen. i plan to introduce all interested folks to Tui Na (chinese medical
massage) a unique approach to common orthopedic aliments. most of us live in high stress
environments and have few tools for managing that stress. with more than 10 years of experience, i have conceived of way for folks to learn some basics so that they might be
able to support themselves and each other while acquiring valuable real world techniques for health and well being. for more experienced folks ( L.Ac's, CMT's, MD's, PhD's, & etc's...) this course will help to refine the tools in your tool box and perhaps add a few.

What?
the structure of the class would be an introduction to Tui Na hand
techniques and their general uses for the first two days. the days following will be
protocols based on resolving common pathology of major joints. in the
class we will cover structural disharmonies, repetitive stress, as
well as sports related injuries.

How Much?
so for the cost...
sliding scale $600-1000

When?
Sundays
April 27-June 22
no class class May 25

Where?
McKinnon Institute
2940 Webster
Oakland, Ca 94602

because this course is for enrichment and personal as well as
professional growth the hours will not count toward licensure. they
will count toward your personal path to health and toward the health
of others. to this end the course is going to be affordable. a little
more than half the cost of most massage courses. folks should try to
pair up in registering, but a partner is not required! you will be
encouraged to work with many different folks throughout the class.

feel free to forward this to all interested parties. space is limited to 12 folks to ensure ample one on one instruction. so email me for registration information.
be well,
christ pearson

*required deposit 50% tuition prior to the start of class.

ps i will order text books after the first day of class

Hi Christ,
Congratulations on THE TEST!

I'm very interested in the Tui Na course you're offering, I just need to work out the kinks in my schedule to make sure it will work. Is there still more space available?

Thanks,
-Brian Cork

Hey Christ,
I'm not going to be able to take this class this time. I'm feeling somewhat maxed out with balancing school, work and free time outside, not to mention I'm not making any money right now with office rent and bills.
I hope the class has a great turn out of people, I told a couple people about it.

Take care,
Brian
