Good news, I finally got through to the right city staff people, so they are coming on Wednesday to meet w/ David C-R about getting permission to plant in the round planter box in front of the building.

That's great!! Thanks for doing that, Roselle.

After our meeting this afternoon I noticed there are actually three trees in front of the school that have space where we could plant some of the things that have a greater tendency to run wild - or relocate the daylilies if that's what suits our purposes.

Wow...Did I have a good meeting with the city! They are extremely
motivated to help!!!

- They will remove the: Juniper, Grivelia, and two of the three Day Lillies.
- The concrete box is for a light. They will purchase an asian style
light run on solar for us.
- They believe there are 5 sprinklers and will help us with drip if
that is insufficient.
- They will buy us a placque.
- They will haul away the wood chips if that is what we want. We
would just need to make a neat pile next to the planter and call them.
- They can help us get good quality compost, but they want us to haul it.
- If need be they will buy us plants!!! We would need to supply a
list. They have a budget!

I will be in contact with them in two weeks to check in. If we want
to start preparing the beds we have the go ahead.

What they need from us before we start planting is a garden design
blueprint (including the plant elevation).

This meeting couldn't have gone any better!

That's fantastic! Pretty soon we will have a flourishing garden right in front of the school.
