It is kind of strange to start the discussion saying that there is no such thing like "Japanese Acupuncture".
In the other words, there is not a single method or modality that you can call a "Japanese Acupuncture". Technically, acupuncture is to said that was invented in China and came into Japan 1500 years ago with Buddhism. So it was a Chinese Acupuncture and still is now. Including herbal medicine, qi gong, tuina..., it is all "Chinese Medicine".
Now what is "Japanese Medicine" or "Japanese Acupuncture"?
Well, I'd have to say that there is no such thing exist.
Then when people say "Japanese Acupuncture", what are they talking about?
It has to be a modified version of Chinese acupuncture according with the people and culture of Japan. It is not a "Japanese Acupuncture" but as the name of this group read, it is a "Japanese Style Acupuncture".
In Japan, there are many group of people who uses many different method of treatment protocols. Meridian Therapy, Sawada Style Tai Qi Therapy, Ryodoraku, Shakuju, Five Elements, Scientific Acupuncture, Sports Acupuncture, Women's Acupuncture...
They are all within a category of "Japanese Style Acupuncture".
They are all based on Chinese Acupuncture but in Japanese Style. Therefor, no such thing as "Japanese Acupuncture" exist.
