My letter to the Ambassador: Dear Sir or Madam, I cannot begin to express to you the depth of my sadness upon hearing news this morning of Hanzhong’s brutal dog culling efforts; I am paralyzed by grief. As a student of Traditional Chinese Medicin…

Animal welfare as a concept is beginning to take hold in parts of China thanks in large part to the efforts of organizations like Animals Asia, but there is a long, long way to go. This cull is affecting strays as well as family pets who are being…

Profile Information

My status:
AIMC Berkeley Student
My current state of mind:
Misanthropic
Acupuncture education/license level:
2nd Year Intern
My acupuncture story:
Acupuncture treated what thirteen Western doctors couldn't... until the fourteenth one of them did. But that's beside the point. Three and a half years of chronic pain with every breath with thirteen doctors and their effing narcotics and minimal effect vs. one acupuncturist with a few needles and bye-bye chronic pain. So here I am.
My favorite modality:
If it's relevant, you use it.
About Me:
I'm full-time at AIMC now after being part-time since January 2006. As of Winter term I'll have classes spread across T6-9 and will be doing 20 hours a week of GP. So what term does that make me? I don't know. But I can tell you that I bucking to get out by December of 2009.

I'm a Massage Therapist by trade (come get work!), and a professional bookkeeper by necessity. I'm married to Mr. Wonderful, am proudly Polyamorous and Pagan (Kitchen Witch, Solitary*), spend most of my "free" time either cooking or tending my garden, and I thoroughly enjoy spoiling our cats bloody rotten.

* No, for the record, I don't worship Satan. ;-)
