Our organic plum tree had more plums than ever before so after I gave away what I could to my neighbors, I decided to make plum butter! It is still cooking and I am not adding but a bit of organic sugar because my husband is a diabetic. So we will see how this does. I have about six quarts right now and it will lose about a quart of fluid by the time it cooks down. If this goes well, I will buy the leftover fruit (not all of it!) from the Farmer's Market as I heard them say they had to throw out what they did not sell because of a quarantine!
I used to do this all summer when I had kids to feed. It's time to begin again!
